The Shattering

In a bubble, shielded from the world
does every person live
some pay the debt owed unto life
others have naught to give
Upon the empty scroll of fate
are humans lives dictated
Some written in the modern world
and others, antiquated.
Performed on grassy plains below
and mountainous peaks above
are acts both good and treacherous
and plays of hate and love
For every object in the world
there is a mirror twin
Just as light and shadow both
the other have within
And for each smiling, happy face
is one heart torn asunder
For every world completed lies
one shattered, six feet under.
